  • Is there a way to do factory reset to original the settings?

You can restore default settings back to your adapter to reset settings. Configuration backup/restore feature available in CLI console only, and default configuration file can be found on Areca's ftp site.

  • We're having an issue with an out-of-warranty device. Can you diagnose the problem and fix it?

You can can contact the US distributor, Tekram USA for more detail about the RMA process. The RMA cost may vary but will include shipping costs. 

 

  • MacOS keeps reverting to 1.4.2 driver, how do I change this?

Mac OS no longer supports kernel extension driver updates. You need to change the RAID adapter device ID using ARC1886BOOT.86 code (ID:188A->1886)and arc1883firm-id-1883.bin (ID:1880->1883) , so OS will load the manually installation software extension driver downloaded from our web site instead of kernel extension similar as M1 Macs.
